Requirements
Have a computer, an active internet connection, and a headset available for tutoring work at home. See below for the required computer specifications:
- CPU: Intel Core i5 or higher; Apple M1 Chip or higher
- Memory: 8GB or higher
- Internet speed: 10Mbps or faster with a stable connection
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11(Home or Pro) Version 25H2 or newer; Apple macOS Sequoia 15 or newer
* Official support for Windows 11 24H2 ends on October 12, 2026. The use of Windows 11 24H2 will therefore not be permitted by Westgate from the beginning of the Fall 2026 term (i.e. from August/September) due to security concerns.
* Apple macOS Sonoma 14 is expected to reach end of life in late 2026.
Instructors using Sonoma should upgrade to macOS Sequoia 15 or macOS Tahoe (26) before the term begins. (Instructors who use another OS would need to check with us for confirmation about whether that OS is acceptable or not. Please be advised that devices running Chrome OS (e.g., Chromebooks) are not acceptable for use in Westgate programs due to software compatibility limitations.) - Browser: Microsoft Edge; Google Chrome latest version; Apple Safari 18 or newer

- Adobe Acrobat Reader (latest version)
You would also need to agree to install applications that are required by Westgate.
